Grape Bubbly Cocktail

We all seem to have a friend who recently got engaged and many of us are already brainstorming creative party ideas to celebrate their upcoming nuptials!

Throwing an engagement party is the perfect way to show the soon-to-be newlyweds in your life just how excited you are for their happiness. Engagement parties don't have to be too extravagent or over-the-top, but celebrating the happy couple should definitely feel a little extra special, whether it's with personalized momentos from their relationship, fun decor or a signature cocktail.

For engagement parties, I love the idea of hosting a bubbly-inspired party! Popping bottles always signifies a festive affair, as do Champagne and Prosecco. Sending this FineStationery invitation also sets the perfect scene for guests in advance of the party.

Serve this bubbly cocktail as a signature drink for the party, along with my Bacon Bay Shrimp appetizer. Both of these recipes have round shapes that serve as a subtle nod to the invitation guests received in advance of the party.

The guests of honor will love the thoughtful drink, which is just the right amount of sweet for everyone to enjoy. This is the perfect way to toast to their special day!

  • 2 ounces coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 15 red grapes
  • Prosecco, Champagne or another sparkling wine

Muddle grapes and pour into cocktail shaker. Add in coconut water and brown sugar. Shake all ingredients and pour into champagne glass. Top off glass with Prosecco or Champagne and a few halved grapes. Makes approximately 2-4 glasses.

Makes: Approximately 2-4 glasses

For another delicious engagement party cocktail, check out our Hibiscus Ginger Champagne Cocktail, made with champagne (or sparkling wine), ginger liqueur and syrup-soaked hibiscus flowers. It's another fun and flirty drink to serve up at an engagement party.
