Homemade Citrus Scrub Party Favor Recipe

Made from easy ingredients and packed with skin nourishing vitamins, this recipe is a simple, inexpensive way to pamper your guests and thank them for attending – and really, what woman doesn’t want to be pampered?

Deciding on a favor for a shower can be tough – and pricey - especially if you have a guest list that is on the larger side. You can go with a gift that matches your theme, or something they can use on a day-to-day basis. Personally, I like favors that have some usefulness after the fact, like my DIY Lemon Citrus Scrub.

  • Makes 12 – 3 oz containers
  • 4 1/2 cups natural, coarse sea salt
  • 3/4 cup light olive oil (or almond or coconut oil)
  • 3 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3-6 drops natural lemon essence (optional)
  • 12 sealable containers
  • 12 tags
  • Ribbon of your choice

Step 1: Combine oil and sea salt together and stir.

Step 2: Add lemon zest; then lemon juice (and lemon essence

Step 3: Fill containers and store at room temperature

Step 4: Add tag with instructions for use:  “Apply scrub to wet skin in circular motion and rinse well.”
