How to Host an Awards Night Party

Whether you are having your guests over for a formal dinner or something a little bit more relaxed, here are a few creative and easy ideas to help set the mood and get everyone in the red carpet spirit.

A Table Fit For a Celebrity

Use a red table cloth and gold silverware to set a regal dinner table. This would work well for a buffet style table as well if you are looking for something more casual. I especially love the idea of creating a little sealed envelope out of a cloth napkin, gold sticker and ribbon (see above).

Or if sparkle is more your style, go with a glitter filled fabric for your table, gold silverware, a simple white plate and a pretty pink napkin. I love the special message on each plate as well. You can fill the little envelope with each person's name to serve as a place card. How fun!

Celebrate the Movies

You don't have to get too crazy with your viewing party foods. I think the best way to celebrate the movies is just as if you were in a theater. Serve popcorn and a few of your favorite candies. If you want to add something special, try a recipe for spicy popcorn or this homemade Italian cheese version.

Add Some Glam

A little DIY never hurt anyone, especially when glitter is involved. Glam up your party with a little Mod Podge and gold glitter and create a fun banner you can string across the room or as a pretty backdrop to your buffet table.

Guess what? You can eat your glitter too! Make any kind of dessert you desire (we love the mini cupcakes pictured above), top it with frosting and cover it with your favorite kind of edible glitter. The gold star shaped ones might be the best for an awards night party!

Host Your Own Ballot

With a few striped treat or favor bags, some glitter card stock and ballot printables from Studio DIY, you can host your own ballot and see who would have won an award if your friends held the votes!
