How to Make a Western Bandana Wreath

Make a bandana wreath to help greet your cowgirl and cowboy party guests. This wreath is simple to make and will make a great first impression.

This tutorial is completely no-sew, all you need are a few straight pins and some hot glue to put this wreath together. If you are throwing a more traditional country western themed party, without the girly details, you could switch the pink bandanas out for red and skip the pearls for an equally cute wreath.

  • 3 White Bandanas
  • 1 Pink Bandana
  • 14’’ Straw Wreath Form
  • Burlap
  • Jute String
  • Miniature Pearls
  • Pins
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue
  • Pink Felt
  • Soda Tab

Step 1: Cut white bandanas into 22 x 3 inch strips. Wrap the strips around the wreath, overlapping so the straw wreath is completely covered. Pin the fabric to the wreath.

Step 2: Cut miniature bunting flags out of burlap and attach to a piece of jute string using hot glue. Attach to the wreath using pins.

Step 3: For each pink bandana flower, you will need 8 bandana fabric circles and 1 felt circle. Start by folding a bandana fabric circle in half, adding a dab of hot glue to the center to hold the fold in place. Fold in half again, adding another dab of glue and attach to the felt circle with hot glue. Continue this process with the 7 other circles, overlapping pieces to form a flower. Attach to the wreath using hot glue or pins.

Step 4: For each burlap flower, you will need 2 burlap circles (a smaller circle and a slightly larger circle). Glue the smaller circle on top of the larger circle and attach 3 miniature pearls to the center. Glue the burlap flowers to the wreath.

Step 5: Attach a soda tab to the back of the wreath with hot glue for hanging purposes.
