Little Black Purse Party Favors

Create a little black purse from paper for a great little party favor. Fill it with gourmet chocolate for a special treat.

We especially love these cute favors for our favorite girlfriends!

3 1/2 X 2 X 6 3/4 inch colored paper sacks
2 pieces of black cardstock cut into 3 3/4 x 5 inches
2 pieces of white cardstock cut into 2 x 6 inch pieces
2 pieces patterned designer paper cut into 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches
2-sided tape
3/4 inch wide ribbon cut in 9 inch lengths

Step 1: Cut paper sack to a 3 1/2 inch square.

Step 2: Mark the 5/8 inch in from each edge of the 4 3/4 inch side of the black cardstock. Draw a line from the 5/8 inch mark on an angle to the bottom tip of the paper.  Cut on the line. Do the same with the designer printed paper.

Step 3: Adhere the printed papers each of the cardstock pieces.

Step 4: Using decorative scissors, or a border punch, create a scalloped edge along one of the long sides of each of the white pieces of paper.

Adhere the white trim to the backsides of the front and back of each purse piece. Trim edges even. Attach the ribbon about 1 inch down from the top of the purse and 3/4 inch in from the sides to the back side of each purse piece to form the purse handle.

Step 5: Add an embellishment to the front of the purse.

Step 6: Apply stong double-sided tape around all edges of the paper bag.

Step 7: Align the bottom edges of the purse front with the bottom edges of the paper bag and press to adhere. Apply double-sided tape to the other side of the paper bag and adhere the purse back.
