Mini Clipboard Picture Frames

Sending out photo graduation invitations is a popular way to ask friends and family to celebrate a grad, so why not personalize the actual party the same way?

Sending out photo graduation invitations is a popular way to ask friends and family to celebrate a grad, so why not personalize the actual party the same way?

Using photos of your grad and a bit of creativity, it can be easy to come up with graduation party ideas that are customized and inspired by your grad's personality. It's also a fabulous way to highlight the journey your grad has taken, the road she's traveled and all the ups and downs along the way to this milestone celebration.

While photo banners and frames are a great way to decorate a graduation, I wanted to do something in theme with the party I had for my grad.

I came up with a clever way to display photos of my grad throughout the years at her party with clipboards. This crafty frame is easy to recreate and so much fun to display. You can use the idea like I did to celebrate a graduate, or you can craft one to commemorate a promotion or gift to a teacher.

Supplies
  • 6X9-inch clipboard (as many as you'd like to display)
  • Decorative paper to match your graduation party theme
  • Mod Podge adhesive
  • Ribbon that coordinates with your paper
  • Photos of your graduate
Directions

Step 1: On a plain piece of white paper, trace around the clipboard to make a pattern. Cut out the section where the metal clip is attached to the board.

Step 2: Trace the pattern onto the decorative paper and cut out from there. Apply Mod Podge paste to the back of the paper and apply to the clipboard. Gently press in place and allow to dry thoroughly.

Step 3: When dry, tie a 1-inch wide ribbon around the bottom of the clipboard and tie into a bow. Clip your favorite picture of the grad to the board and display!

If your party is small enough, you can use this decorative craft as a party favor, too. They also make for a lovely and commemorative gift to share with your graduate!
