10 Must-Make Mint Chocolate Desserts

I'm just going to go out on a limb and declare it – there is no greater dessert combination than chocolate and mint. What was that? Chocolate and caramel, or peanut butter and chocolate are better, you say? I beg to differ.

Decadent chocolate – milk, dark or anything in between – pairs perfectly with a hint of cool and refreshing mint. I'm obsessed with Fannie May mint meltaways, mint chocolate chip ice cream and Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies.

So when I found out Feb. 19 was National Chocolate Mint Day, I immediately Googled the closest Girl Scout cookie vendor so I could get my hands on some Thin Mints. Then I looked up some more mint chocolate dessert recipes so I can indulge my sweet tooth in the best possible way. Side note: Isn't the combination of mint green and chocolate brown just so chic? I think so.

Chocolate Mint Cupcakes

You can't go wrong with cupcakes, and this recipe from Cake and Allie look de-vine. The recipe calls for peppermint extract, and is topped with a green and white swirl frosting. Crumbled Andes mints are a bonus.

Mint Chip Ice Cream Pie

What's refreshingly cool, irresstable delicious, and filled with minty goodness? Our Mint Chip Ice Cream Pie of course! While it's great on a warm summer day, there's no reason you can't enjoy it year-round.

Dark Chocolate Coconut Butter Cups with Mint

The only thing better than chocolate is dark chocolate, and I love the idea of snacking on some Reese's-style buttercups. Except instead of peanut butter, it's mint (and coconut!). Get the recipe from Stupid Easy Paleo

Thin Mint Martini

Of course I had to include a recipe inspired by one of my favorite girl scout cookie flavors! And if desserts aren't you're thing, dessert cocktails might be so get the recipe for our Thin Mint Martini.

Chocolate Mint 'Green' Smoothie

I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but I LOVE milkshakes. Love them. Which is why this chocolate mint green milkshake smoothie from The Healthy Foodie looks like heaven in a glass. In fact, it's actually made with baby spinach, avocado, soy milk, whey protein and egg whites for a super healthy concoction that just looks indulgent. Make two parts -- one with the mint, one with the dark chocolate -- and enjoy!

Mint Chocolate Guinness Brownies

Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, these Mint Chocolate Guinness brownies have such a delicious flavor combination. The bold Guinness really brings out the other sweet ingredients. Topped with the mint green icing, it's the perfect grown-up treat for St. Paddy's!

Mint Chocolate No-Bake Cheesecake

I'm a sucker for desserts in clera jars and shot glasses, and these no-bake cheesecake shooters from My Baking Addiction are just adorable. But they're also made with a delicious combination or packaged cream cheese, peppermint extract and some crumbled Andes candies. Yum!

Thin Mint Puppy Chow

We're big fans of puppy chow over here at Celebrations -- the chocolaty peanut buttery concoction is hard to pass up. But I have a feeling I'd love the Thin Mint version from Your Cup of Cake even more. It's made with two separate batches: one tossed in melted minty green melts and one tossed in melted chocolate. Throw in some crushed up Thin Mix and you have an irresistable dessert.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Brownies

OK, these are so darn pretty. But more than that, they are a minty fudgey recipe of perfection. The two layers of mint and chocolate come together in a gorgeous and delicious combination. Check out the recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction.

Marbled Mint Chocolate Fudge

It's pretty clear how much I'm obsessed with the green and brown color combination, which is why I can't stop looking at photos of this marbled fudge from Sugar on the Brain. Fudge is a rich decadent treat that's ideal to enjoy in small savory squares, or give as a delicious homemade gift. Either way, you have to make this fudge.
