Mother's Day Gift Wrapping Styles: Mod Podge Craft Ideas

Sometimes it is more about the wrapping than the actual gift. Taking the time to create a personal wrapping paper not only shows the receiver how special they are to you, it also makes even the smallest of present seem large and memorable.

Creating personal wrapping paper can be as simple as using a marker to draw a personal design on plain white wrapping paper, or going that extra step and applying photographs to craft paper that are meaningful and special to the recipient.

Easy to do, and inexpensive to make, creating personalized wrapping paper is a great way to make mom feel extra special this Mother’s Day. Or for the more experienced DIYer, you can be as creative as you like with this, by photocopying photographs, cutting out shapes or even letters for a more skilled approach.

Ingredients
  •
  • Craft Paper
  • Mod Podge
  • Printed photographs
  • Foam brush
Directions

Step 1: Wrap the present in craft paper using double-sided tape to secure the folds and create a clean line on the surface of the paper.

Step 2: Use the foam brush to apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the back of each photo and then place them on the paper photo side facing front.

Step 3: Once secure, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge across the top of each photo and then cover the entire package with Mod Podge for an even look. Once dry, wrap with ribbon and secure a gift tag.
