Movie Night Party Favors: DIY Candy Boxes + FREE Printable

Whether you’re throwing a grand bash for a birthday in the backyard with a movie night or you’re just having your nearest and dearest friends and family over for a viewing, it’s nice to send them on their way at the end of the night with a little party favor. Not a break the bank extravagant sort of favor, but one that is easily purchased and easily made.

The perfect favor for movie parties? Movie candy. The long rectangular boxes of all your candy favorites are synonymous with a visit to the movie theater. The crowd at our party was way excited we were able to find snow caps without buying a movie ticket. These movie theater versions can be found at most dollar stores or large discount groceries for about a buck — which makes them inexpensive enough that you can buy a bunch!

Of course, if you really want to make them a proper favor, you’ll need to add a favor tag. You can download this Hope You Enjoyed the Show free printable party favor label to make your own in a snap.

  • Boxes of your favorite movie theater-inspired candy
  • FREE party printable (download here)
  • Label paper, or regular paper + glue stick

Step 1: Gather your favorite movie candy boxes.

Step 2: Download our free printable party favor label. The labels are large enough to fit really big candy boxes, but also are designed so you can trim them down if your boxes are small.

Step 3: After you download the file, print to full sheet label paper if you’d like to adhere the label directly to the box. If you don’t have access to label paper, regular paper and a glue stick will also do the trick. There are four labels per sheet, so cut them out before use.

Step 4: Once you attach your labels, if they are slightly too big, cut the edges to fit. Otherwise, just wrap the extra around the edges of your box; it will still look nice!
