Nautical Baby Shower Favors

Treat-filled cellophane bags get the nautical look when they're tied up with a bit of thin rope and then topped with some hot pink paper embellished with a band of blue and white stripes.

We added a little "thank you" sticker to the nautical band to express appreciation to our guests. These are so easy to make and you can add any kind of message, sticker or monogram to fit the occasion. Plus, by coordinating the party favor bags with the rest of your theme, your guests get to take a piece of your wedding décor home with you. Use your party favors to add to the decor wherever you need it.

  • Hot pink cardstock
  • Blue and white striped scrapbook paper
  • Stamp or sticker for your message
  • Oval punch
  • Adhesive
  • Jute twine
  • Cellophane bags

Step 1: Cut the pink paper into 4 X 8 1/2 inch pieces

Step 2: Score the paper across the length at 1-inch, 4 1/4, and 7 1/2 inches.

Step 3: Fold the paper on the 4 1/4 inch scored line and slip the oval punch in halfway and punch out the center.

Step 4: Adhere the blue and white striped band to the front of the container - just above the fold line at the bottom.

Step 5: Fold the ends of the paper on the scored lines and adhere together. You will have a 3-sided figure.

Step 6: Fill your cellophane bags with treats and slip the bag in the side of the pink sleeve, bringing the top of the bag out of the top of the sleeve. Tie the cellophane bag closed with the jute, and trim the top of the bag.

These adorable muslin bag baby shower party favors are so simple to make and can be customized to fit any theme. Choose a character stamp that will embody the theme – for the nautical look, an anchor would be a great choice. Use black, red, or blue ink for an all around nautical feel that your guests can show off, too.
