Onesie Clothesline Baby Shower Idea

Decorating a baby shower with baby onesies is an adorable way to celebrate the mom-to-be and to welcome a little one to the world.

Baby onesies hung on a clothesline above the table at the baby shower not only add to the decor, but they are also a thoughtful gift for the new mother.

Since little ones have a tendency to grow out of their clothes at a rapid pace, consider hanging onesies of varying sized so that the Mom of Honor can have several to choose from for the first year of birth. As any mom knows, you can never have enough onesies!

I found some adorable little onesies in the nautical colors, added some pink flower appliques to them, and hung them on a length of jute between two trees on the patio. Be sure to hang them in an area where they are least likely to get dirty or stained so they can easily be reused and worn.

I covered the face of the clothespins with pink washi tape so they looked a little more special. It's so great to decorate with things that can be used later.

More Fun with Onesies!

This DIY onesie baby shower activity is a gift/decoration/activity station all in one! Talk about a triple threat. Let your guests get their craft on with a onesie station packed with paint, glitter, and any other crafting supplies your heart desires. Give them the freedom to create the onesie of their dreams or ask them to stick to the theme of the party. Hang the finished onesies on a clothesline for the ultimate baby shower decoration.

If you love the idea of giving a onesie as a gift, but want something a little more personalized than a store-bought garment, why not make your own with a little help from this onesie baby gift tutorial?! You can resuse old fabrics and patterns to create a customized onesie baby will wear and mommy will love. Since onesies are frequently sold in packs, why not pick a theme and make a whole collection?! A set of zoo theme onesies featuring monkeys, elephants, and zebras will really make for a wild gift idea.
