Outdoor Graduation Party Games

Outdoor spring and summer graduation parties make for a fun and easy way to entertain everyone who comes to congratulate the scholar. These outdoor graduation party games are great for any age group to relax and have fun.

Pre-K/Kindergarten Graduation Games

Little graduates who've just learned their ABCs, animals, colors and numbers will be excited to show off their knew know-how. Here are some games to play with them that incorporate and reinforce those lessons:

Simon Says - Have a party helper lead the group in this classic game of direction, but remember, if Simon doesn't say, you're out!

Twister - Divide the kids into groups of four to play this game. You can purchase one from the store, or create your own game with non-toxic washable spray paint on the grass!

Charades - Ask the kids to dip their hands into a basket full of papers with names of animals on them. They must act out the animal they choose - no sounds!

8th Grade Graduation Games

They're not in high school yet, so chances are your 8th graders will still be willing to have some fun with classic games. Try one of these grad games:

School Days Scavenger Hunt - Turn a treasure hunt into a fun outdoor graduation party game by searching for items that are related to school. School memorabilia such as photographs, t-shirts and awards are easy to get your hands on and fun for the kids to find and reminise over as they hunt for the next clue.

Pool Party Games - Games like Marco Polo haven't lost their luster with this group of grads, so have some fun while keeping cool in the pool!

High School Graduation Games

For high school seniors, celebrating graduation is all about enjoying time with friends before going in different directions. One way to do this is with fun games graduates probably grew up playing. Here's a quick list of our old time faves:

Limbo

Croquet

Flag Football

Water Fights - balloons, water guns, hoses - anything is up for grabs!

Potato Sack Races

Match the Kindergarten Picture - Every guest brings a picture of themselves taken in kindergarten. Post them all and have people guess who is who - the person with the most right, wins!

Guess the Teacher - Stick the name of teachers on people's backs and give them clues to guess who the teacher is. Or, take turns drawing from a hat and acting out.

Remember when... - This one is for reminiscing only. Share your best memories while sitting around. Tissues may be necessary!
