Perfect Pear Theme Decor

See how we combined colors, modern style, and pear accents in our Perfect Pear Engagement Party tablescape design and let them inspire your celebration!

One of the first things to think about when styling your event is the table setting. This is where your guests will sit for the majority of the evening if a meal is served, and it's a great place to showcase any theme ideas you want to incorporate.

We brought in the golden color and layered look of our party invitation we sent out and designed a sophisticated tablescape. Though we opted for more of a lavendar color versus the pink one found in our invite you can certainly take the decor ideas here and use the pretty color scheme in your own party quite easily!

A yard of fabric in a lavender and cream pattern makes a lovely base to our setting. The two-toned pattern adds interest without looking too busy.

Each place setting is elegantly layered with basics that you may already have or can easily rent: chargers, white plates, small bowls, colored napkins, etc.

We used a lavender doily from the craft store to add another layer of interest, but did you know you can also spray paint paper doilies?

We also like to move away from the traditional place settings found in etiquette books. Modern table design allows you to get creative with things like utensil and napkin placement.

Here we lined up our knife, fork, and spoon on the right side of our plate in order to make room on the left side for our couples trivia game.

To add some of the pear motif to the table, we stamped small favor bags, and trivia card with stamps from the craft store. We also placed a pear inside the bowl and hung a name card from the stem. You don't have to wait until pears are in season to get great looking ones like these, Harry & David pears are always in season, and get shipped straight to wherever you're having your event

It's always fun to have a personalized activity at a celebration. We decided to create "The Perfect Pair" trivia game cards for guests to enjoy. This just takes a little pre-planning to get interesting facts about the couple. The more unique and unusual, the better. You could also have a small gift for whomever gets the most answers correct.

Stunning centerpieces don't need to cost a fortune. We created a modern centerpiece that coordinates with our table perfectly, using clear glass bottles and gold daisies.

Lined up down the center of the table they are a pretty focal point but are still low enough to allow easy conversation from across the table.
