Personalized Photo Thank You Gift

One of my favorite ways to express my thanks is by creating photo cards for my friends.  When I visit someone, I usually take a picture of something special--a rose in their garden, the wreath on their front door, or their purple Adirondack chairs, for example. If your recipient has a pet, there are endless photograph possibilities – dress them, pose them, and snap a memorable photo your giftee will love.

Then, when I return home, I use an on-line photo shop to create cards or stationary with the picture I took. This is such a special, personalized gift and a lovely way to express your thanks. Just a little time and effort will yield a gift they will want to display and show off to their friends and family.

There are lots of options for creating photo gifts.  For example, you can use the photo to create an individual thank-you card; a package of stationary, a notebook, a coffee mug--to name a few! You may want to consider the recipient’s interests and personality when choosing the photo outlet – a personalized travel mug is great for someone who is always on the go, while a personalized photo puzzle is a great choice for someone who spends Sunday nights celebrating “family game night”.

I created a pack of 6 cards and wrapped them in clear cellophane with a pretty purple ribbon and little thank you flag. Just because you are giving a customized gift doesn’t mean you should get lazy with the presentation. Remember, it’s the little things that count!  My recipients are always so surprised to see something from their home on a card.  It's such a thoughtful and personal way to say thanks!

Use the photo you’ve snapped to create a personalized wooden box that your giftee can display for all to see! We’ve filled the wooden box with paper flowers for a festive centerpiece, but it can be used for virtually anything – a jewelry box, recipe keeper, you name it!
