Pool Party Bucket-O-Goodies

To create an easy, no hassle, kid-friendly favor for your pool or beach-themed party, all you have to do is make a quick trip to a store like Walmart or Target, where you can pick up a small sand bucket and some fun summer/water toys to put inside.

When throwing a party, it’s always a great touch to hand out favors to guests before they go. It leaves them with a lasting impression of how great the party was!

I filled these buckets with a water gun, waterproof balls, bubbles, chalk, and a colorful pinwheel, but feel free to include any types of toys you wish. Just have fun with it, and try to stay within the summertime/beach theme so it’s fitting for your pool party. A neat trick is to fill the bottom of your bucket with some tissue paper. This adds “filler” at the bottom of the bucket so it looks like it’s fuller than it really is, without having to buy more toys.

Make sure to leave the favor buckets by the door so guests remember to take one as they leave. Or if you want to make it more personal, you can go around to each kid and hand him or her a bucket yourself. This way, you will be able to thank each guest face to face for coming to your party!

Step 1: Flush and slightly crunch the tissue paper and place 1 or 2 pieces at the bottom of each bucket. Arrange all the toys/favors (water toy/gun, waterproof balls, bubbles, and chalk) inside of the bucket.

Step 2: Place the pinwheel inside of the bucket or attached outside.

Step 3: Place all the buckets by the door so the kids will each take 1 each before they leave.
