Romantic Valentine's Day Breakfast Ideas

Does anyone else agree that breakfast or brunch can be the coziest meal of the day? Creating a delicious spread together as soon as you roll out of bed can be turned into a fun activity and exciting way to kick off Valentine’s Day with your honey.

By adding just a few budget-friendly and special touches to your meal, you’ll set the perfect scene for Cupid to strike!

Plan the Menu

Put a spin on traditional pancakes and try making Romantic Raspberry Pancakes instead. Not only is the festive pop of red an easy way to incorporate Valentine’s most iconic color into your meal, but the health benefits in berries are an added health bonus! Add some love into your food by with a few simple touches that will really dress up the dish with some of our sweet ideas.

Create a special signature cocktail that's sweet, bubbly, and full of love like our Strawberry Champagne Martini. Inspired by our favorite chocolate-covered strawberries from Fannie May. Or, if the two of you have a drink that you order at your favorite local restaurant, let yourselves get creative by trying to recreate it at home.

Set the Scene

You can never go wrong with traditional red roses, so order some from 1800Flowers.com and display them on the table in either a teapot or creamer and sugar servers. We also love taking the DIY approach, so check out our DIY Love Cupcake Toppers and Heart-Shaped Garland (pictured above) to really make a big impression this February 14.

Stop by your local craft store and pick up some festive inexpensive fabric to add some pizzazz to your table. Try making a table runner or pick up a larger piece of fabric to create a table cloth for the day. We created this Homemade XOXO Tablecloth using paint and wood blocks and the outcome was outstanding!

Download a play-list (or get inspired from our Valentine's Day playlist) for some cozy background music for while you’re cooking and then enjoying your meal.

Serve in Style

We're all about taking something ordinary and adding that little extra "wow" factor, so think about taking your favorite Valentine's Day treats or candy, and setting them out on nicer platters or trays. Sticking a stick into mini donuts create some fun-looking donut pops for easy devouring.

These Champagne Celebration Strawerries from Fannie May already come with pretty metallic sprinkles for an elegant touch. Show them off on a silver tray or platter (you can find inexpensive plastic versions at your favorite craft or discount store).
