Snow Day Ideas for Adults

The weather outside is frightful, and there’s snow up to your knees. You’re trapped indoors and not really sure what to do with yourself! Instead of eating everything in the fridge and watching infomercials, here are a few snow day ideas for adults that you can do to keep yourself occupied.

Beat boredom with these fun snow day ideas for adults!

Hot Chocolate + Movies = The Perfect Way to Spend a Snow Day

Obviously the first thing you need to do is fix yourself a mug of delicious and soothing hot chocolate. We decided to switch things up a bit and take the usual hot chocolate recipe and make it a white hot chocolate version instead.

Make yourself a cup and hunker down in front of the TV and watch that old classic you’ve been meaning to get around to!

Sled Down Your Stairway

If you don't want to brave the freezing temps, you can simulate sledding in your house easily! Just pretend your staircase is a hill and you can get the same affect. However, try at your own risk!

Dig Out Those Old Photo Albums

With busy schedules, it's tough to take a walk down memory lane, but a snow day offers the perfect opportunity to do just that! Plus, checking out the scrunchies in your hair during the 80s and those awful acid wash jeans will provide you with at least 2 hours of entertainment.

Bake Sweet Treats and Then Proceed to Eat All of Them

If you trapped at home all by yourself, I highly suggest you whip up this DELISH snow inspired treats perfect for a snow day. Resembling little snow balls, these coconut topped white chocolate balls are great for baking up when you're snowed in.

And I won't judge you if you eat more than one. Or all.

Plan a Tea Party and Transport Yourself to Springtime

Once you've finished baking your snow treats, dig around the cupboards and look for all those teas you've received as gifts, from the holidays and ones you've simply purchased because the box was cute!

Imagine springtime is here and plan this flowery Mad Hatter tea party to mentally escape from the cold conditions outside.

Clean Out Your Closet

Get rid of old clothes and items that no longer fit and donate to Goodwill. Not only will you be doing a nice thing, but you’ll be making room for all the new clothes you’ll be ordering online today since there’s a blizzard outside and you’re stuck at home.

Or Just Drink

'Nuff said. Get a cocktail recipe for whatever ingredients you've got on hand.
