Spring Tablescape Decor Tips For Less

With the start of spring comes the beginning of outdoor party season. You definitely want to impress your guests, but are you don't have to break the bank in order to spruce up your table.

I recently appeared on the Nate Berkus show with my spring decor tips for how to make a beautiful tablescape for less so I wanted to share those tips with you for your next party.

If you want to splurge, you can most certainly purchase all of the elements on your table separately, but what I love to do to save is to rent! You can rent your table top accessories instead of spending a ton on decorative plates and linens that you might not even use again. Much of my tablescape here was rented from a great site called BBJLinen.com. The green gingham napkins I got from Etsy for just $4 and I love that it is a great site to get unique items for less.

I know many of you might not go as far as having custom menus printed, but I love showing my guests that I put a lot of thought into all of my parties. You can see that I've placed them on top of each plate on my table and made the white with green stripes to match my decor. I went ahead and did the same thing with my place cards for each of my guests.

Additionally I like to make sure my guests have a take away gift. Where I'm from, we love to eat, so I like to make my gifts things like homemade chocolates or cookies. I packaged them in little white boxes that I decorated with green ribbons to go along with the rest of my spring decor.

The flowers on the table I ordered custom from 1-800-Flowers.com. You can actually call them and explain what vision you want and they help you personalize the arrangements on your table. These arrangements are stuffed into green floral foam to keep them hydrated and standing up straight. To prevent any leaking from the foam, place a layer of plastic or even a garbage bag between the foam piece and your linen. To give it that really earthy tone, cover the arrangements in layers moss. It's so easy and will really bring some life and texture to your table!
