Sweet Summer Inspired Wedding Shower Decor

Inspired by layers of lemon slices on our wedding shower invitation, we created a summer tablescape filled with lovely shades of yellow.

Topiary trees were easily transformed to take center-stage on our bridal shower tables. We placed the topiaries in some decorative yellow pots that we found at the nursery, tied them with satin and tulle, and placed fresh lemons at the base.

We layered some tulle on the center of the table for the pots to sit on, and added some shiny yellow heart confetti.

We loved the look of the natural bamboo placemats with the lemon theme, so we gussied them up by folding bright yellow and white napkins in half and ironing them with a little spray starch. The starched napkins were placed across the length of the placemat and napkin ends were then tucked under the edges of the placemat, giving our table a very retro feel.

Fresh lemons tied with a satin ribbon and a sprig of ivy made adorable place cards for each of our guests. The blank address labels that coordinate with Pear Tree's Sweet Slices invitation were absolutely perfect for the name tags we tied to the lemons.

Mixing floral patterns, stripes, and the toile design on our pots gave our tables the perfect look for an afternoon of lemony desserts and showering our good friend with gifts. Spice jars were wrapped with a piece of burlap and tied with a yellow satin ribbon to hold some sprigs of ivy. The tables had a natural, yet elegant feel.

A tray of lemon delights brought oohs and aahs from all of the guests. Imagine your own dessert tray of fresh lemon cookies , lemon petit fours , a scoop of lemon sorbet and a raspberry lemon trifle

There's a certain wow factor when miniature desserts are combined on one plate.  We used a narrow rectangular plate to hold 1-inch lemon cookie rounds, a small scoop of lemon sorbet, a luscious lemon petit four, and a raspberry lemon trifle in a miniature dessert dish.

We purchased some little white boxes from the craft store and filled them full of lemon drops. Our Pear Tree Greetings wedding shower stickers instantly turned them into perfect little party favors.

The bride-to-be wasn't the only one opening gifts. We baked a miniature loaf of fresh lemon bread for each of our guests to take home. We wrapped each little loaf in natural wax paper and then tied it all up with a strip of burlap, a yellow satin ribbon, and an imitation lemon slice.
