Ten Year Anniversary Inspirations

Can you believe you and your sweetie have been together for a decade?! 10 years together is even worthy of a romantic getaway, don't you think?

If you don't have the luxury of being able to just pack up and go whenever you want, bring the vacation to your home!

Transform your home into a tropical parade and serve foods with exotic flavors that you and your hubby will love. It'll be a night of relaxation, romance, and paradise!

Decor

The easiest way to bring the tropics into your home is by choosing the right decor to set the scene. We're talking cocunut shaped cups, loads of florals, and the ultimate scene setter - an exotic playlist to set the mood.

Dress your dinner table with a simple, yet elegant centerpiece that reminds you of your favorite tropical getaway. As any vacationer knows, it's not an exotic getaway unless their are leis involved. Since it's just you and your sweetie tonight, why not make a batch of handmade leis to sport on your mini vacation?! They are super chic, and will really get you in the vacation mood.

Food

When we think of the tropics, a few of the flavors that come to mind are anything citrusy, filled with pineapple, or topped with mango.

Start the exotic meal with a sweet and light tropical salsa - a mix of sweet juicy mango and zesty peppers. Serve it with your favorite crackers or on top of fish. Yum!

Now for the ultimate tropical main dish - Teriyaki Mahi Mahi. It's sweet, light, and irresistibly mouth watering. Your sweetie will surely be impressed with your chef skills.

Drinks and Dessert

Sweeten the night with a cold and creamy dessert like this Grilled Pineapple with Pound Cake Sundae. Or, just whip up your sweetie's favorite dessert and top with a pineapple mango skewer. Simple and sweet!

For your tropical cocktail, this Blue Hawaiian just screams "vacation"! All you need is a colorful umbrella to turn your drink into the perfect ending to your evening/ vacation.

Gift

Since the 10 year anniversary gift is tin, your options may be a little limited. Try getting your hands on your sweetie's favorite coffee in a limited edition tin. Or, for a more personalized gift, purchase a large sealable tin and decorate with things that remind you of your loved one. They can use it to store future photos and memories, and will remember your gift for years to come.

For a more humorous gift, build your own Wizard of Oz Tin man. In the movie, he's on the search for a heart, so fill your tin man with paper hearts, each with a special message to your sweetie.

You can even plant your love's favorite flower in a tin vase if you want to stay with the theme. Get creative!
