Chic and Cheap Bridal Shower Table Decor

When you're throwing a bridal shower on a budget, you can still create a fabulous looking celebration without breaking the bank, so long as you follow a few important tips of ours!

It's so much fun to decorate for a themed shower, especially when you seem to find the exact items you need at the right time and for a great value.

Tips & Ideas for a Chic Budget Bridal Shower

Choose your theme and invitation carefully!

Your theme will allow you to create a cohesive looking event and your invitation is the first big piece of planning. You can use your invitation as a guide for both the design of the event as well as a way to inspire chic paper driven decor that costs a whole lot less!

When I saw the Recipe for Love invitations from Pear Tree Greetings I immediately thought "retro-chic" and "home-ec" for a bridal shower. This was perfect as it allowed us to work more with paper decor.

In keeping with the invitation's look and feel as well as the recipe cards that came along with it, the place settings were set with layered plates, colored paper doilies, and scrapbook paper place mats. Additionally, we made fabric banner bunting in matching hues to hang about the space for added flair.

Think outside the box when it comes to centerpieces and place settings.

Don't limit yourself to the traditional or expected bridal shower decorations. Inspiration for your designs can be found in so many places!

The centerpiece at this particular bridal shower table was a collection of kitchen tools corralled in a utensil holder off the bride's registry. It was also one of the gifts one of her bridesmaids purchased. The bride was able to take assorted centerpieces within the kitchen theme home with her as gifts!

Another great and inexpensive bridal shower decoration we turned to? Retro-themed cans. We simply cleaned them out and filled them with colorful flowers to match our space.

Work with multipurpose party supplies.

Investing in key pieces for each place setting or table that perform multiple jobs is smart. Oftentimes, you'll be surprised at how a seemingly simple piece can be reinvented two or three times for the party.

For example, we placed our napkins inside heart-shaped cookie cutters from the dollar store. Not only did they fit our recipe for love and kitchen theme, but they acted as a functional and decorative napkin ring, and was also a party favor for guests. Multipurpose at it's best!

Keep place settings clean and simple.

Much of your bridal shower guest's time is spent in her seat, so don't go overboard with too much decor about the space and instead, pay more attention to each place setting's look and feel.

Layered looks, clean lines and pops of color are three great rules for staging. Additionally, keep functionality top of mind. You don't want to over clutter place settings as it will crowd your guests. This will save you on costs, too!
