Time to unleash your inner child! Mom may have taught you to not color on the walls, but toss those rules aside get your creative juices flowing with this housewarming party game. Your guests will love this once in a lifetime chance to put some color on the walls.

We found this awesome black and white frame printed wallpaper that would just be the perfect DIY wallpaper housewarming party game.

If you can't get your hands on this paper, visit your local interior decorating shop and choose a black and white wallpaper with different shapes or designs. As long as there’s room for color, it will work! If you’re a creative hostess, you can design your own wallpaper and go on a custom wallpaper site to have your design printed. It may be a little more costly, but you’ll walk away with a personalized piece of artwork that your friends can easily color in.

Turn this into a contest by voting on the best drawing.

Pick a theme that you won’t mind showing off on your walls. It’s a great party activity as well as easy way to add some color to your walls. Talk about killing two birds with one stone!

You’ll need to provide your guests with some markers, old shirts you don’t mind getting messy, and stencils or rulers to help optimize the art.

Set the mood for creativity with powerful music. Mozart is a popular choice among artists and may help inspire your guests, but you can also opt for a playlist your group loves - 80s anyone?

Make sure the lighting is bright enough to view every line and detail of the piece.

Consider:

The wallpaper is going to be part of your home for years to come, so you may want to give your guests a color or subject theme to work with. It’ll make it easier to judge the competition, as well.

Also, though participants are adults, we're betting cocktails will be circulating while you work. Consider putting this design in a place you guys will hang in the future, like your basement or den where atmosphere is more fun and casual.
