Beautiful Budget Friendly Centerpieces

Contrary to what you might thing, locally grown wildflowers make for fabulous additions to any party centerpiece - you just have to arrange them correctly!

For the third time since March, I have been able to use wildflowers from the side of the road to coordinate with a party’s color scheme. Can you say INEXPENSIVE?

Back in March, forsythia was in full bloom and for my yellow themed fundraiser , I was able to fan my flowers out of large glass vases I had on hand to create a burst of color on my table. Opting for a taller bloom added impressive height to my table and a pop of color to the space for a lot less.

For a Bat Mitzvah I planned, I was able to tie a purple phlox-like wildflower into my centerpieces for a very budget-friendly, yet chic splash of color. Once again, I turned to flowers that were easily accessible, inexpensive and still, statement making.

When creating centerpieces for a number of tables at a formal event like a Bat Mitzvah, Sweet 16 or bridal shower, you're most likely working with a budget, but that doesn't mean you can't create something fabulous.

Wildflowers or other blooms grown locally are a fantastic way to save when you're looking to cut costs and so often, I find my color scheme comes to my rescue when I work with budget party decor. For this particular celebration I turned right to my invitation for inspiration.

3 Tips to Use Wildflowers in Party Centerpieces

See what's in season. Anything growing alongside the road is sure to be readily available. If you live in a more urban area, ask a local florist what's least expensive and available in a larger quantity.

Work with your color scheme - you're guaranteed to find a budget bloom to match your party's look.

Use wildflowers for the base of your centerpiece, then accent them with other flowers or other decorative elements like glittered branches from a craft store.

Think frugal, yet fabulous and use wildflowers in your centerpiece to get design on a dime!
