A Very Berry and Fruity Healthy Smoothie Recipe

We’d love to go on record saying that every day is a party day, but in reality; sometimes your bod just needs a break from indulgence! If you’ve been really burning the candle at both ends recently, today may just be the perfect day for taking it easy and detoxing your system. If you put it through a lot from time to time, it’s important to treat yourself to this yummy and healthy breakfast smoothie to get your system started back right!

Here’s a helpful pre-planning tip:

When you have fruit that you just can’t eat before it all goes the way of overripeness, just throw it in a plastic baggie and into the freezer! That way, when it’s smoothie time you have perfectly fresh fruit that is already frozen so there’s no need to add ice!

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 Granny Smith apple
  • 1/3 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/3 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground flax seeds

Put all ingredients into a blender and pulse until well blended.

If your fruit is frozen, you may need to add a splash more almond milk to break down the pieces. Enjoy!
