Fruity Fall Drink: Apple Pear Punch

One of the best parts about autumn is the abundance of warm, robust flavors, such as apple, pear and ginger. Fall always makes me think of apple picking, family bonding and of course, Thanksgiving. This tasty fall punch is like all of that wrapped into one; a delicious concoction filled with generous tastes of the season that you can enjoy with your family.

I love how apples and pears are both in season for fall, especially because the flavors of the fruits complement each other so well. Some fresh slices of fruit mixed with apple cider and pear nectar makes for the perfect autumn punch. The best part about this recipe is that it's so easy. Want to make a kid-friendly version? Just leave out the booze -- it's still totally delicious on it's own!

This recipe is simple, delicious and tastes just like fall. I love to make a big pitcher of this for autumn get-togethers, and it would be perfect for Thanksgiving. I prefer it over ice, but it would also be delicious served warm with some whipped cream!

Pear your fruity punch with this All-Fruit Basket from Fruit Bouquets. The basket comes jam packed with seasonal fruits, such as apples, pears and oranges, paired with sweet blooms. It makes for a perfect hostess gift or centerpiece for your guests to grab delicious fruit come morning.

  • 1 apple, chopped or sliced
  • 1 quart apple cider
  • 2 cups pear nectar
  • 24 ounces ginger ale
  • Apple pie vodka (optional)

Combine apple cider, pear nectar, and ginger ale. Stir well. Place apple slices inside pitcher.

Pour over ice and serve! If you're wanting to serve it warm, heat all of the liquid ingredients in a pot over a stove on low heat. Simmer for a few minutes until warm, place apple slices on the pot, and serve in mugs.

**If you're craving an alcoholic drink, add one shot (1.5 ounces) apple pie vodka to each individual drink, or 1 cup to entire pitcher

Makes: 8 glasses
