Bing Cherry Margarita Recipe

Tequila, muddled fresh cherries and lime juice make this cocktail wonderfully refreshing and the perfect sidekick for your next outdoor gathering or cookout.


Signs that the warmer weather is here to stay are everywhere! The kiddos are happily running around in the backyard, we started cooking on the grill, and flowers are blooming all around. One of my favorite things about summer is the abundance of fresh fruit and all of the yummy recipes I can make!

Since it’s also a time for frozen cocktails, I thought I’d share a margarita recipe–but not just any margarita, a fresh and delicious Bing Cherry Margarita!

Ingredients

6 pitted bing cherries (frozen cherries can be substituted)

Ice

1/3 cup tequila

1 shot (1 1/2 ounces) Cherry Marnier

1 shot (1 1/2 ounces) Rose’s Lime Juice

Margarita salt

Fresh lime wedge

Serving glass

Cocktail shaker and muddler

2 small plates for lime juice and salt

Directions

Muddle cherries in cocktail shaker

Fill shaker with ice

Add tequila, Cherry Marnier and Rose’s Lime Juice. Shake well.

Dip rim of glass in plate of Rose’s Lime Juice and then salt.

Fill glass with ice and strain contents of shaker into glass. Squeeze a lime wedge into glass and enjoy!

Want a little extra zing? Muddle some lime zest in with your cherries!
