Fresh & Fruity Summer Cocktail: Blackberry Mojito

A minty and refreshing mojito is always a summer cocktail favorite. But take your traditional mojito up a notch with the addition of some fresh fruit!

This Blackberry Mojito recipe from our friends at Driscoll's is made with fresh blackberries, some mint leaves, lemon and lime juice and seltzer. You can even use vodka or rum, depending on what is your spirit of choice.

Just be sure not to muddle the berries and the mint too harshly. You want to release their flavors without crushing them completely (also, no one wants to chunks of mint leaves!). Using a muddler or the back of a spoon should be fine.

So make one of these delicious mojitos for your next summer cocktail party or backyard bash!

Ingredients
  • 12 Driscoll's Blackberries
  • 12 large mint leaves
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cups seltzer water
  • 1/4 cups vodka or rum
  • 6 to 8 ice cubes
Directions

Muddle blackberries, mint leaves, sugar, lemon juice and lime juice in a tall glass until berries are mostly crushed.

Add seltzer, vodka, and ice. Stir well and serve.

Makes: 1-2 mojitos
