Blackberry Sparkler Champagne Cocktail Recipe

Ring in the New Year with a berry good drink made with sparkling wine, of course!

I love a good fizz in my cocktails, especially the bubbly kind that can only come from sparkling wine. The crisp bubbles paired with the tartness of the berry cordial offer up a sparkling cocktail perfect for ringing in the new year. And with only 3 ingredients, it makes for an easy signature cocktail to have on hand to toast 2013.

Ingredients
  • 1 ounce of vodka
  • 1 tablespoon of blackberry cordial
  • 3 ounces of white sparkling wine or champagne
  • 1 blackberry, for garnish
Directions

In a chilled champagne glass, add the blackberry cordial and the vodka, then top with chilled sparkling wine. Pour this on the side to avoid an overflow!

Garnish with a blackberry before serving. You can plop one in, but we really love the elegance of a skewered berry!
