Blackberry Wine Ice Cream

Some of my favorite wines are flavored wines, especially fruit flavored wines. Not only are fruit wines enjoyable to drink, they also add great flavor to a sweet dessert.

In this recipe, Blackberry Wine is incorporated into a delicious ice cream. A simple mixture of heavy cream, blackberry wine, and sugar, are blended together to create a creamy, sweet, and fruity wine-flavored ice cream.

Ingredients

1 pint Heavy Cream
2 cups Blackberry Wine
1/2 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
Special Equipment Needed
Ice Cream Maker

Directions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, blackberry wine, sugar, and vanilla. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker. Freeze according to the directions of your ice cream maker.

Transfer the ice cream to a sealed container and place in the freezer to finish the freezing process – It might only take a couple hours, or up to overnight.

When ready to serve, place the ice on the counter for it to slightly thaw.

This ice cream keeps up to 12 days in a sealed container in the freezer.

Makes

4 cups Ice Cream
