Healthy Breakfast Smoothie: Filling Cacao Banana

Striking a balance of healthy, yet delicious morning smoothies can be tricky. You obviously want to enjoy your cold morning meal, but you also want to be sure it will keep you full all morning long. 

There's nothing worse than enjoying a delicious breakfast, only to find your tummy rumbling an hour later. Luckily, this morning smoothie is chock full of delicious summery fruit, some hearty protein and some additional ingredients to keep you feeling full and satisfied. 

I made this delicious Cacao Banana smoothie with yes, banans, as well as peanut butter, honey and some pineapple. But the secret ingredient is Philosophie Cacao Magic Superfood Blend, a delicious combo of good-for-you superfoods, including organic chia seeds, hemp protein, and cacao powder, which makes it a yummy addition to any smoothie. 



Although I love the combination of ingredients below, you can play around with your amount of fruit, honey and peanut butter. If you prefer a lower-sugar smoothie, cut out the pineapple and honey, and use 2 teaspoons of powdered Stevia instead. 

However you decide to customize this morning treat, I highly recommend blending this up for the perfect summer breakfast you'll love to make all summer long!



  • 2 Ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 Cups ice
  • 1/4 Cup all-natural peanut butter
  • 3 Tablespoons honey
  • Cubes of fresh pineapple (3-4 should do)
  • 1/4 Cup milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Philosophie’s Cacao Magic Superfood Blend
  • Strawberries, to garnish (optional)

Comine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.

If you're not using a very high-powered blender, drop in ice cubes a few at a time while blender is blending.
