Cheesecake Parfait Dessert Recipe

You can never go wrong with cheesecake desserts - no matter the occasion. While the classic cheesecake recipe is always something to love, we particularly adore this more "deconstructed" way to serve a favorite treat.

Layers of fresh berries, creamy whipped cheese, and of course, cake, make for a crowd pleasing dessert that's both light and decadent - a perfect combo!


16 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 2/3 cup confectioner's sugar--divided

1 1/4 cups sour cream

2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract--divided

1 1/4 cups heavy cream

8 cups of chocolate cake, cubed

8 cups of strawberries


Beat the cream cheese with 1 cup of the confectioners' sugar. Blend in the sour cream and 1 1/2 teaspoons of the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until it begins to thicken. Add the other cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla and beat until soft peaks form. Fold this into the cream cheese mixture.

In parfait dishes, layer some cake cubes, cream cheese mixture and sliced strawberries. Repeat the layers. Cover and refrigerate.

Before serving, add a dollop of whip cream to the top of each parfait and garnish with a strawberry slice.
