Chocolate Marble Pumpkin Bread Recipe

With the crisp fall season upon us, it gives us the perfect excuse to load up on as many pumpkin-inspired recipes as possible.


I know I’ve experimented with my fair share of anything and everything pumpkin related (one of my favorites being these healthy pumpkin seeds), but there’s just something about baking an all-time favorite year after year to officially welcome the new season.

This moist chocolate chip pumpkin bread makes a delicious dessert or snack, breakfast treat, or even a perfect hostess gift as holiday parties are quickly approaching. Best of all, is the cozy and delicious scent that fills your home while this bread is baking in the oven.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 (15 ounce) canned pure pumpkin
  • 1/4 cup and 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup and 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 1/2 cups and 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips (add more if you prefer a truly decadent chocolate flavor)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour three mini loaf pans or 16 muffin cups.

In a large bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin, oil, eggs, and water. Beat until smooth.

Blend in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.

Bake for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

Cool on wire rack before serving.
