Classic Mac and Cheese Recipe with Veggies

Put a healthy twist on traditional mac and cheese by mixing in veggies. Find out how to make this scrumptious side for a family dinner or a party for all your friends.

It doesn't get much easier than this! Put together this quick and comforting meal the next time you and your family are pressed for time. Not a fan of spinach? Try adding steamed broccoli or cauliflower.


2 cups fresh spinach leaves, rinsed

1 can condensed Cheddar Cheese soup

1 cup Italian style pasta sauce

1/3 cup milk

4 cups cooked elbow macaroni

grated Parmesan cheese


In a microwave-safe container, add spinach leaves and a splash of water and steam about 45 seconds, or until wilted. Set aside.

Mix soup, pasta sauce, milk, pasta, and cooked spinach in saucepan.

Serve with Parmesan cheese.
