Easter Carrot Cake Push Pops

These carrot cake push pops are very easy to make and once you get started you’ll want to make them for every occasion throughout the year!

Carrot cake is a favorite treat throughout the year, but around here it's one of our more beloved springtime desserts. To make things fun for the kids (and the adults, too!) we are having carrot cake push pops for our Easter gathering. Push pops have been pretty popular over the last couple of years and you can even find the containers in major craft stores now.

Ingredients
  • Carrot cake, sheet style 9"x13" baked
  • Push pop containers
  • Cream cheese frosting
  • Piping bag
  • Edible grass
  • Orange sprinkles
Directions

To make the push pops you will need to bake the carrot cake in a 9x13 or sheet pan. This will allow you to create the ideal layered mini rounds below.

Once the cake has cooled use the push pop container to cut a perfect size piece of cake. Simply press it into the cake open side down. Repeat this step until the entire cake is punched into mini rounds.

For each cake push pop, press one of the cake layers to the bottom of the container and pipe a layer of frosting; repeat with another layer of cake and frosting. Add edible grass to the frosting and sprinkles to resemble a carrot.

Tie a ribbon bow on the bottom of each push pop and display in a moss covered Styrofoam block.
