Easy No-Bake Nutella Cake Recipe

This delicious no-bake cake make with Nutella is an irresistble and delicious treat.

For my birthday this year, my sister took me to this fabulous Italian restaurant in New York City. We dined on some of the freshest mozzarella, prosciutto, pizza and other Italian favorites, but what really stood out at that meal was dessert.

The restaurant is known for it's brick oven pizza and incredibly fresh, light dough. Instead of stopping with the savory recipes, the chefs there actually use the pizza dough in cake form, layering three thin crust pies with a chocolate hazelnut spread.

I have to say, this pan made it super easy to make this cake because it prevented the sweet ingredients from sticking, heated everything evenly and was large enough that I could get this cake whipped up in less than 15 minutes!

Instead of using fresh pizza dough, I turned to some mini flour tortillas for my homemade cake. This made the cake a bit more chewy and a little less airy, but I think using less butter and letting the tortillas cook up a bit more might help that.

Don't make this cake recipe if you're not ready for some serious sweetness. It is by no means figure friendly, but it wouldn't be nearly as yummy if it was!

6 tablespoons Nutella

3 tablespoons butter

3 teaspoons granulated sugar

8 mini flour tortillas

sprinkle of Confectioner's sugar

Heat your skillet to a medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon of granulated sugar. Add your first three tortillas.

If you can't fit three tortillas, adjust your butter and sugar ratio. You want to be able to coat both sides of the tortillas with what's in your pan.

Pan fry the tortillas until they are golden and start to fluff up. As you remove the tortillas from the heat, place on a flat, paper towel lined surface. DON'T lay the tortillas on top of each other - they'll stick.

Once all of your tortillas are fried, begin to assemble your cake. Layer each tortillas with a thin layer of Nutella, spreading evenly. Don't go overboard here! A little Nutella goes a long way.

Finally, spread Nutella on the top tortilla, then sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy once you've assembled - don't let this cake sit around for too long!
