Fudgy Brownies with Sea Salt Recipe

We’ve got the perfect brownie recipe to blow away the other guests at your next pot luck, or if you prefer, just to make to satisfy your late-night sweet tooth!

The walnuts and the dark chocolate chips are optional and can be left out if neither are your cup of tea, but we love the crunchy-yet-fudgy texture that they lend to these chocolatey treats. Sea salt rounds out the sweetness just perfectly.

Fudgy Brownies with Sea Salt

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
  • Sea Salt, for sprinkling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips. Spread batter into prepared pan.

IBake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook – a toothpick inserted in the middle will come out with fudgy crumbs when they are done. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes while brownies are still warm.
