Ham & Pineapple Grill Packets with Cinnamon Sugar Bread

A convenient foil packet makes cooking this delicious, sweet and savory breakfast dish a cinch at your next tailgating adventure. Want to keep things even simpler while tailgating?

Prep directions part one and two at home, and place sliced ham and pineapple in a separate container. When you’re ready, combine the two in the foil packet and grill…quick and simple!


1/2 of a 20-ounce can pineapple tidbits

5 cups cubed French bread, cut into 1-inch chunks

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/4 cup sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

4 slices honey ham (I used Cook’s pre-sliced ham), cut into 1-inch chunks


Drain pineapple, reserving 2 tablespoons of juice; set aside.

Place bread in a large bowl and drizzle with melted butter, stirring to coat. Combine sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over bread mixture, and toss.

Transfer bread mixture to a large piece of heavy-duty, nonstick foil. Add ham slices, pineapple, and reserved pineapple juice.

Fold foil around mixture to form a tightly sealed packet. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until heated through.
