Homemade Spiked Peach Ice Cream

Homemade ice cream alone is something to go crazy for, but add a good dash of alcohol to the mix and it really gets the party started! If you’re lucky enough to have an ice cream maker and you’ve actually used it, you’ll know there’s a difference between your homemade kind and that generic stuff from the store.

Freshly made ice cream is just a bit creamier and a bit more flavorful than the kind you’d typically find at your local grocery store. It’s also a whole lot cheaper.

Adding alcohol to the ice cream shakes things up even more – especially if you use the right kind. Just like cooking with the wine you’d drink, and perhaps even more so here, you want to mix ice cream with the alcohol you’d enjoy straight.

For our spiked peach ice cream we’ve opted for Ciroc Peach Vodka. Give this recipe a try and we promise you’ll love it!

Ingredients:

1 cup whole milk

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup sugar

2 ounces Ciroc Peach Vodka

1/2 cup canned peaches in syrup

Directions:

First, make sure you've got yourself an ice cream maker - otherwise these directions won't be very helpful!

Next, I whisked the milk and cream together, followed by the sugar 1/4 cup at a time in a large mixing bowl. Once that was incorporated and the mixture thickened, I added the peach vodka.

Once ready, pour the entire mixture into the ice cream maker and press on - I kept it mixing for 1/2 an hour.

After 30 minutes, transfer your ice cream back into the mixing bowl you had. Fold in your chopped peaches and syrup - about a 1/2 cup worth. Cover the bowl with clear plastic wrap and place in the freezer until you're ready to serve.

Makes:

1 1/2 quarts
