Kentucky Peach Cocktail

Even though the dog days of summer are winding down, we still love embracing the long daylight hours and sipping cocktails outside while we can. And since August is National Peach Month, what better way to enjoy the delectable fruit than with a summery drink?

We were inspired by Van Gogh’s Cool Peach vodka -- a sweet flavored vodka that doesn’t have an overpowering taste, and is perfect for peach season. We started with good ole lemonade, and added the peach vodka with a touch of bourbon for a smokey summer drink. The result is our Kentucky Peach cocktail, which is perfect for sipping on the back porch during the final warm weeks of the season. You don’t even have to be from the South to enjoy this delectable drink!

Ingredients:

4 ounces lemonade

1 1/2 ounces peach vodka (we used Van Gogh's Cool Peach vodka)

1 ounce bourbon

1 tablespoon simple syrup

Directions:

Place a few ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Combine lemonade, vodka, bourbon and simple syrup.

Shake well, and pour into cocktail glass or mason jar.
