Limoncello Mint Champagne Cocktail

Champagne makes everything better. It's just a simple fact. And when champagne is mixed with sweet homemade limoncello and fresh mint, it makes for a tasty summer cocktail you won't stop sipping.

And not only does this Limoncello Mint Champagne cocktail taste amazing, it makes for a nice display, too. For my Limoncello Cocktail Party, this signature drink served as the focal point of the serving tray (and of the party).

After rimming the glass with some sugar and adding a mint garnish and decorative straw, the flutes looked almost too good to drink. Almost. But since I have zero self-control and couldn't help myself, I dived right into this bubbly and citrusy beverage.

Chilled champagne, ice-cold limoncello and refreshing mint make for the perfect summer beverage. So whether you're throwing a summer party or sipping something sweet on the front porch, this Limoncello Mint Champagne cocktail is something you won't regret mixing up.

Ingredients
  • 4-5 ounces champagne
  • 1 ounce limoncello (get my homemade recipe here)
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon simple syrup (optional)
  • Sugar, for the rim
Directions

To rim your glass with sugar, run a lemon wedge around the rim of a champagne flute. Then dip on a plate filled with sugar, until completely covered.

Place 1-2 mint leaves on the bottom of the flute, and gently muddle with a muddler or the back of a spoon until bruised.

Add limoncello, and then top with champagne. Garnish with extra mint leaf and fun straw, if desired.

Makes: 1 cocktail
