Mint Punch Cooler Cocktail Recipe for a Tailgate Party

Nothing says summer like a crisp and refreshing gin and tonic, and this cocktail recipe - designed for your one-gallon cooler - is like a gin and tonic with a modern twist.

The bittersweet accents of the lime and mint play well with the gin to create a Mojito - like drink that will make your game-day festivities feel just a little bit more polished. Best mixed right before the game, this cocktail is as simple to make as it is to drink!

Ingredients*

80 ounces of tonic water

2 handfuls of mint

12 ounces of limeade*

12 ounces of lemonade*

24 ounces of gin

2 cups of superfine white sugar

Ice

3 limes

*for a one-gallon thermos or cooler

Directions:

Add the sugar to the thermos, then top with the lemonade and limeade. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the tonic and gin.

Garish with mint and lime wheels before serving. *Note: I use high-quality limeade and lemonade to make the recipe. Avoid anything that appears bright green in color, as it will alter the look and flavor of your drinks.
