Mummy Cookie Pops in M&Ms Graveyard

The only thing better than Double-Stuf Oreos is Double-Stuf Oreos covered in white chocolate, propped up on a stick and swimming in colorful M&M candies. America's Favorite Cookie gets a fun Halloween makeover with these adorable Mummy Cookie Pops.

Not only are these cookie pops delicious; they also make for a fun and festive dessert display. After you make the cookie pops and they are set on their sticks, add an extra step by adding some floral Styrofoam in a deep serving tray or planter.

Place the cookie pops in the styrofoamso the sticks are nice and secure, and cover with M&Ms. To be really festive, you can use Reese's Pieces for an autumn collection of yellow, orange and brown colors.

  • 1 Package Double-Stuf Oreos
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips (melted, 2 cups for dipping, 1 cup for mummy wrap decoration)
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable shortening
  • Candy Eyes
  • Lollipop sticks

Carefully twist apart all of the Oreo cookies.

Using one of the pop sticks, make an indentation in the white filling of each cookie, and then put the cookies back together.

Melt about 2 cups of the chocolate with 2 tablespoons of vegetable shortening in the microwave, stopping and stirring every 30 seconds, until melted.  The shortening will help smooth out the chocolate and give the Oreos a more even coating.

Using a fork to help hold the Oreo, dip the cookie into the melted white chocolate (I advise using the fork because holding it by the stick just breaks the cookie when it’s weighed down by the chocolate).  Spoon some of the chocolate over the top of the cookie so that it is covered completely, and move to a wax paper-lined baking sheet.

Press two candy eyes into each white chocolate covered cookie.

Freeze so that the chocolate on the cookies hardens.

Melt the remaining cup of white chocolate and put into a piping bag.

Take the cookies out of the freezer and Use the bag to pipe thin lines of chocolate over the mummy to give him some three dimensional bandage wraps. Let the chocolate harden before serving!

Serve in a bowl or planter with floral Styrofoam covered in M&Ms (optional)
