Red Carpet Slushy

Bring the red carpet to life with this cool mocktail recipe. This sweet drink idea is mainly inspired by the vibrant hue we've all come to associate with star-studded events, but it also has a vintage-like feel that makes us think of Old Hollywood, which makes it even more fun to enjoy during the awards season.


It's the ideal sip of you're making the viewing a kid-friendly event as the recipe is simple enough to make in batch for a crowd all while allowing everyone to fill their glass. Parents or other adults can feel free to spike their own glass with a splash of vodka or other alcohol of choice, while kids will love that they have a special sip of their own.

Ingredients:

2 cups of crushed ice

1 tablespoon of cherry syrup

4 ounces of 7UP or tonic water

1 drop of vanilla extract

2 cocktail cherries

1 dollop of whipped cream

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker, add the ice, syrup, 7UP, and vanilla ice cream, and then shake until fully blended. Pour the contents into a tall glass and garnish with the cherries and whipped cream before serving.

In a hurry? Replace the 7UP and cherry syrup with 7UP cherry for a sweeter, but quicker replacement.
