Rosé Citrus Cocktail

With spring in full swing I’m sure we’re all day dreaming about the soft lovely details that resurface this time of year: pretty pastels, romantic flowers, and tangy fresh flavors that will carry us through the new season.


And, with Mother's Day inching its way toward us, there is no better time to mix up a creative and refreshing cocktail in order to prep guests’ palates for the warmer months ahead! Plus, now is the time to treat mom to something really special, and this floral and delicious cocktail is the perfect sipper for a Mother's Day brunch, or just an afternoon of hanging out.

 

 

So take a break from all of your motherly duties, and treat your own mom to this tasty libation. Whether you're hosting a big family brunch, or just spending some quality time with mom, you both will love this delicious drink!

Ingredients
  • 1/4 ounce bitters
  • 1 ounce simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water – heated on stove top in a pan)
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • Sparkling Rose Wine
Directions

Fill shaker with ice. Pour bitters, lemon juice and simple syrup into shaker.

Shake, and strain into a Champagne flute.

Top with sparkling wine. Optional: garnish with a strawberry, or lemon rind twist.

Makes: 1 cocktail
