Spooky Halloween Ghost Brownies

Ghosts can either be scary or cute - haven't you seen Casper the friendly ghost? For this easy Halloween dessert, I wanted to lean more towards making cuter ghosts instead of the scary ones since they were baked with little ones in mind. These ghosts are created out of fluffy homemade marshmallow frosting that's a treat any day of the week, but works so well in dressing these desserts up for Halloween.

All you do to recreate this spooky look is pipe the frosting on top of each brownie to create a ghost shape and then draw a face on them with black piping gel. With the below ingredients you can turn a simple brownie into a totally cute Halloween treat!

Ingredients
  • 1 batch Brownies, cut into about 12-15 squares
  • Marshmallow Frosting, Recipe Below
  • Black Piping Gel
  • Marshmallow Frosting
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter, at Room Temperature
  • 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 3 1/2 ounces Marshmallow Fluff
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
Directions

Place the marshmallow frosting in a piping bag fitted with a large round tip. To pipe the ghosts on the brownies, place the piping bag directly above the brownie. Apply pressure to release the frosting and gradually pull away from the brownie, applying less pressure as you move up. Quickly release pressure from the piping bag and pull away to create the cone/pointy tip. Use this method to create ghosts in various sizes on each brownie.

Use the black gel to pipe faces on the ghosts. To create the faces, pipe two small dots for the eyes and a small circle for the mouth. Serve and enjoy!

These last up to 3 days in a sealed container.
