Summer Rum Punch Recipe for Tailgating

Even when you are miles deep in a parking lot getting ready for the big game, you can still bring the taste of summer to your tailgating party crowd by mixing up a batch of this delicious cooler cocktail. The sweet drinks combines that taste of strawberry lemonade you loved as a child with a little bit of tropical paradise, giving your guests a memorable sip that serves as a welcome alternative to the typical tailgate beers.


Even better is that is simple to make in large batches the morning before the game. All you need is a big water cooler that holds at least one gallon—and a few simple ingredients!

Ingredients:

24 fresh strawberries

3 fresh lemons

64 ounces cranberry juice

11 ounces of vodka

11 ounces of dark rum

44 ounces of 7up

Ice

Directions:

Pour the cranberry juice, vodka and rum into your large thermos or cooler, and stir until fully blended. Add the freshly sliced lemons and strawberries, and then allow it to rest until you are ready to serve.

Just before serving, pour in the 7up and ice. Provide pretty plastic cocktail cups for your guests, as well as extra lemon slices (this is optional) as garnish!
