Tasty Chicken Wrap Recipe

Hamburgers, hotdogs and ribs are traditional favorites at any bbq or tailgate party but then you always have to worry about the clean up and condiments that come with serving these popular party foods.


When you are eating outdoors or tailgating in a parking lot, the best menu is one full of simple and easy recipes that are just as convenient to serve and eat. For those reasons, we always turn to tasty wrap recipes.

Wraps can be made ahead of time and with any ingredients you have on hand, plus they're handy and can be eaten with little fuss.

The recipe below is for a crunchy crispy chicken bacon wrap. We added a festive touch to the tailgate party we served these at by wrapping them in themed printed partyware from Gwynn Wasson Designs.

Ingredients

12 Flour Tortillas
1 pound of deli sliced chicken breast
2 heads of romaine lettuce
1 English cucumber
1 Large red onion
1 finely grated garlic clove
6 tomatoes
12 Slices of crispy bacon
1 bundle of coriander
3 table spoons of olive oil
Salt & Pepper

Instructions

Finely grate the garlic clove and add it to a large mixing bowl with the olive oil, stirring to blend the two together.  

Chop up the lettuce, tomatoes, onion and cucumber before adding to the mixing bowl, blending the mixture until everything is covered in the garlic oil. 

Nect, coarsely chop the cilantro and blend it into the mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste, adding more olive oil if needed. 

Warm your tortillas on a non-stick pan just long enough to make them soft, not cook them.

Once warm add a few slices of chicken breast (deli sliced will work well!) and a slice of crispy bacon to the top of the tortilla. Top with your salad mixture. 

Fold the wraps like you would a burrito and then wrap again in a wax paper to keep them fresh.

Wrapped, these chicken wraps will keep for 24 hours in the refrigerator.
