Fresh & Fruity Margarita Recipes Perfect for Cinco de Mayo

There's no denying that margaritas are the must-drink cocktail for Cinco de Mayo, but sometimes the standard lime-tequila-orange liqueur varieties can become a little... dull.

To kick your margarita recipe up a notch, opt for some fresh fruit and other flavors instead. Fresh-squeezed lime juice can easily be replaced with (or joined by) fresh fruit puree from a variety of other fruits, including watermelon, cherry, cranberries and blackberries. And unlike the cheap restaurant frozen margs that come straight from one of those pull handle machines, these are made with fresh ingredients.

The Cadillac Peach Margarita uses fresh peach puree, lime juice, silver tequila and Grand Mernier Raspberry Peach. It's a sweet twist on the classic recipe, and only uses simple ingredients. The Watermelon Margarita is a light and refreshing drink, made with fresh watermelon juice, lime juice, silver tequila and triple sec.

For a spicy kick, try our Spicy Mango Margarita recipe, made with fresh mangoes and jalapenos. The Cranberry Ginger margarita has a tangy bite too with the fresh ginger syrup and fresh cranberries.

So if you're looking to add some variety to your margaritas, try one of these fresh and fruity recipes. Do you like the standard margarita recipe, or do you prefer a fun and fruity flavor? Let us know in the comments below!
