Super Bowl Punch Recipes

When it comes to Super Bowl libations, the drink of choice is usually beer, beer and more beer. As much as we love kicking back with a gold brew and cheering on our team, sometimes we want to sip on something else.

Or, if some of your guests aren't beer drinkers (like those of us with a gluten sensitivity -- sob!), having another cocktail on-hand is not only thoughful, but also a necessity to keep your guests happy.

Making a big batch of a punch is the easiest way to serve to a big group, and it totally fitting for a Super Bowl party. Serve it in a big gallon thermos  to really keep the feel of a football game, and keep the mess, clean-up and temperature relatively stress-free.

For a smokey cold-weather cocktail, try mixing up a batch of Brandy Apple Punch, courtesy of The Kissters. It's sweet enough for people who like sweeter drinks, but robust enough for the men to enjoy. For another bold, yet sweet drink, make a big batch of our Maple Bourbon Cider. Bourbon is the quinitessential cold-weather liquor, but is complemented beautifully with the apple cider and maple syrup.

Gin and tonics are a favorite among the cocktail-drinking crowd, so this Mint Punch Cooler is a light and refreshing drink that tastes like a mintier version of a Gin and Tonic. The recipe includes lemonade, limeade, gin, tonic and a handful of mint leaves.

Fruity concoctions are usually reserved for the summer, but we love putting a cold-weather twist on some of our favorite punches. This Pomegranate Sangria is perfect while pomegranates are still in season, and Yummy Rum Punch is perfect year-round, if you ask us.
