Try This American 75: A Refreshing Twist on the Classic French 75

What could possibly be better than a classic champagne cocktail? Well, a little update that makes it even more delicious, for one!

We’re huge fans of the timeless French 75 cocktail – which is a lovely combination of gin and champagne. In order to heighten the subtleties in this flavor profile, we chose to use an all organic and American-made vodka, American Harvest. Check out this amazing recipe for an American 75 – featuring agave and fresh lemon juice along with the classic topper of champagne!

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka (we used American Harvest)
  • 1/2 ounce agave nectar
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3 dashes orange bitters
  • Chilled dry Champagne or Prosecco
  • Strawberry slices
  • Lemon twist

In a champagne flute, start by adding your vodka. Then add in the fresh lemon juice, agave syrup and bitters. Stir with a cocktail spoon.

Top with chilled champagne. Garnish the champagne flute with a strawberry slice and a lemon twist. Enjoy!

Makes: 3 cocktails
